Wheel Chock in Application

Chock with Chain

Loading Dock Wheel Chocks

To meet OSHA, ANSI requirements and to remove some legal/insurance issues that may arise, it is required to use at minimum wheel chocks anytime loading equipment is used at the dock to load/unload vehicles.

With the high overall cost of wheel chocks and their effectiveness low, we recommend an OSHA accepted alternative to wheel chocks, the mechanical means of securing trucks in position to the dock. We recommend for your consideration the leading technology from Blue Giant in manual restraints or powered push button activated restraints for employees safety and providing your company a modern safe dock.

Laminated Wheel Chocks -

Blue Giant laminated wheel chocks are designed to secure and lock the truck wheels to prevent
shifting or moving with the weight of the truck, during loading/unloading, when motion is attempted.

Trucks are required under OSHA safety standards to have their rear wheels chocked and the brakes
set at all times. OSHA recommends utilizing 2 wheel chocks per trailer. (1910.178 (K) 1)
